Our Oxford Sandy & Black dry cured gammon steaks are cut from rare-breed pork renowned for its exceptional flavour and natural marbling.

Carefully dry cured to enhance the depth and richness of the meat, they deliver a beautifully balanced savoury taste with a firm yet tender texture.

These generous steaks cook wonderfully in a hot pan or under the grill, developing a caramelised edge while remaining juicy and full of character.

Here at Louise’s Farm Kitchen, our pork is lovingly prepared in our on-farm butchery using traditional, native breed Oxford Sandy and Black pigs — often known as the “Plum Pudding” pig for their distinctive colouring.

Slow-grown and reared with care, these heritage pigs are known for their exceptional marbling, depth of flavour, and beautifully tender meat. Their natural ability to lay down fine intramuscular fat creates pork that is succulent, richly flavoured, and perfect for both slow roasting and everyday cooking.

By butchering on-site, we ensure complete traceability, expert preparation, and the highest standards of freshness. From field to fork, every cut reflects our commitment to animal welfare, traditional farming methods, and outstanding quality.

The result is pork with real character — honest, heritage meat raised and prepared the way it should be.

Perfect served simply with eggs, pineapple, or alongside chunky chips for a proper, hearty meal.

A traditional cut, prepared with care and full of honest, robust flavour.
